MEDIA RELEASE Vital rescue helicopter service continues with Miners’ Union members help
Tuesday 8 April 2013
The life saving work of the Hunter rescue helicopter service will be able to continue thanks to further donations from the Miners’ Union delivered today.
The CFMEU Northern District will today hand over a $100,000 cheque to the helicopter service, adding to 20 years of strong support from the region’s mineworkers.
Half the amount has been raised from Northern District members, the other half donated by the Union’s Mineworkers Trust.
