Mining families post reward on Facebook after no sight of BHP boss

Central Queensland’s mining families have now become so concerned as to the whereabouts of BHP boss Marius Kloppers they have posted a reward on Facebook.

Launching the WheresMarius.com website and video today the group said they were compelled to ask for the public’s help after a recent trip to Melbourne was fruitless.

BHP boss Marius Kloppers refuses to meet Central Queensland mining families

A group of Central Queensland coalmining families travelled to BHP’s Melbourne headquarters on Tuesday to request the company’s boss Marius Kloppers see their communities for himself.

Russell and Denise Robertson from Moranbah and Frank and Maureen Johnston from Dysart visited to present a giant boarding pass specially printed for the mining company CEO who refused for a third time to hear their concerns.

The couples were renewing their offer to pay the airfare for the chief executive to come to the Bowen Basin and see for himself the negative effects of the boom on their communities.
